    Bars: Not many artist like Brooklyn’s Queen – [LoLa brooke]

    Lola Brooke born Shyniece Thomas is a rapper and a songwriter. A native of (Bed Stuy) Brooklyn, New York, Lola has been writing music since she was eight years old but started her career as an artist at the age of twenty-three. In 2016 she signed with Team80, a New York City based record label. Lola then dropped her first music video to a freestyle titled “2017 Flow” (released January 1st, 2017) which brought light to the artist’s talent with the motto “Bars is back” felt throughout the freestyle as an anthem. With the help of her team Lola has been able to push her way into the music industry building a buzz around her name and gritty style, while also maintaining a growing fan base through consistency.

    Her list of acknowledgments also include features in True Urban Culture Magazine and The Source Magazine.

    Lola Brooke has performed at events such as Break The Internet Fest, HOT97’s “Who’s Up Next” and also opened up for Rich The Kid at PlayStation Theatre. She has featured in Maino’s album The Ghetto God (feat Casanova), Jaquae album Chapter 3 and and has collaborated with Black Youngsta. Lola has also been recognized on a national level by her appearances and freestyles with DJ Kay Slay and DJ Envy on Shade45 Radio and interviews by (New York City DJ’s) DJ Self, DJ Drewski, and DJ Enuff. Her list of acknowledgments also include features in True Urban Culture Magaizine and The Source Magazine. She is inspired by artists such as Meek Mill, Lil Wayne, and Foxy Brown. If you ask her who she sounds like she will simply respond “I sound like me.”
